Terms of Service

By accessing or using Trailcast you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These Terms apply to all users, including free and paid tiers.

Trailcast lets you create AI-generated scavenger hunts and walking tours based on real-world points of interest. The service is provided "as is" and may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time.

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use Trailcast.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

You agree not to:

• Use Trailcast for any unlawful purpose or to violate any regulations.
• Create hunts that direct participants to private property without permission, or to locations that may endanger participants.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the service's APIs.
• Misrepresent your identity or impersonate others.

You retain ownership of any hunt names and descriptions you provide. By submitting content you grant us a limited licence to store and display it to operate the service. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.

AI-generated clues are produced by language models and may occasionally be inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing content before sharing hunts publicly.

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually. Payments are non-refundable except where required by law. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice. Downgrading your plan does not delete existing hunts, but access to Pro features will be restricted.

The Trailcast name, logo, and software are our property. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you beyond the limited right to use the service as described.

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of AI-generated content, or uninterrupted availability.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Trailcast and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Scavenger hunts take place in the real world. You are solely responsible for the safety of yourself and your participants. Always follow local laws, respect private property, and ensure routes are suitable for all participants — especially when hunts are designed for children.

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
