Privacy Policy

Trailcast is an AI-powered platform for creating scavenger hunts and walking tours. References to "we", "us", or "our" mean the Trailcast service operated by its founders.

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Account information — your name and email address, provided through our sign-in provider (Clerk). We do not store your password.
• Hunt data — hunt names, themes, boundaries, and AI-generated clues you create.
• Location data — your device's GPS coordinates, used in-session only to detect proximity to hunt waypoints. We do not log or store your location history.
• Usage data — basic request logs (timestamps, endpoint paths) retained for up to 30 days for debugging.

• To operate the service and generate hunt clues on your behalf.
• To enforce fair-use quotas tied to your account tier.
• To contact you about your account if necessary.

We do not sell your data, run advertising, or use your content to train AI models.

We rely on the following sub-processors:

• Clerk — authentication and user management.
• Supabase — database and storage, hosted in the EU.
• Cloudflare — API hosting and AI inference.
• Mapbox — map tiles and routing displayed in the app.

Each provider has their own privacy policy governing data they process.

We use session cookies set by Clerk solely to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

Your account data and hunts are kept until you delete them or close your account. You can delete individual hunts from your dashboard at any time. To delete your account, contact us at hello@trailcast.app.

Depending on your location you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@trailcast.app.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the email address on your account. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
